Psychoanalysis Sessions

The sessions last around 40 mns. I work physically in Jurmala (Latvia) and remotely.
The first sessions can be sometimes longer because time is the main thing we need to understand the situation.

There are not ready-made solutions and every serious practitioner knows from psychopathology and experience that some symptoms exist for a very “good” reason. Their role can be to protect you against something. Hence, getting rid of them, when possible, needs time and efforts. I address in the FAQ’s some other questions you may have. Rather than talking about “solutions” we should say this process helps to increase the options someone has. Therefore, Psychoanalysis is about unfolding unexpected desires, gaining freedom, and rehabilitating psychic growth.

What primarily occurs in a Psychoanalysis is listening to you, to the world and language you bring in the consultation. Psychoanalysis does not require you to come prepared - it asks you to come as you are.

There’s a possibility you still hesitate despite what you have been reading already.

Hesitation before entering analysis is natural — and it is also, in itself, meaningful. The very reluctance to begin often echoes the patterns that brought you to consider it in the first place. Psychoanalysis cannot be fully understood from the outside; its depth reveals itself through experience. The commitment it asks for is not a leap of faith but a decision to take your own suffering seriously. And on this long road, the hardest step is often the first.
